Nothing But Lasers is a mashup of our two all NZ hopped IPAs, Laser Kiwi & All Black Nothing, that’s been cranked way the F*ck up to 11. It’s no secret that we absolutely love the hops grown in NZ. We use them in just about every hop forward beer we make for a reason. They’re just amazing, plain and simple. Amazing aroma, amazing flavor, and even texture.

NZ Hop Harvest just finished up at the end of March and you all just crushed the latest batch of Laser Kiwi so we figured it was as good of a time as ever to brew our first double IPA with nothing but our favorite NZ varieties.

Hotside additions of Waimea, Nelson Cryo, and Riwaka were followed up by a seismic dry hop addition of equal parts Nelson, NZ Cascade & Nectaron with a little more Riwaka for good measure. This was the largest dry hop addition we’ve ever done so we gave this beer a little extra time in the tank to settle down just a bit. We don’t make that many double IPAs so honestly we’re still dialing these in a bit. We think this is the best one we’ve made to date and we hope to apply what we learned on this one to future batches.

The aroma is intense tropical fruit with some really unique notes of star fruit, white grapefruit zest, and even some red berry notes. Flavor follows suit but what we’re really stoked on is the lightness of the body. Often times beers with this level of haze are so dense and kinda hard to drink a full can of. We think this one has a great balance of intensity of flavor and drinkability. It’s not super thiccc or heavy on the palate for the level of hop intensity we were able to achieve.
