Manilita is a new single hop Pale Ale that showcases a new variety from Freestyle Hops called Manilita. Manilita is still in an experimental phase so very little of it is grown. We’re fortunate to be part of the Freestyle Hop Research Collective which gives us access to some of these varieties before they make it to full scale production. Manalita reminds us a lot of NZH104. It’s has this papaya and ruby red grapefruit aroma with hints of pink starburst candy. There are familiar flavors but they’re hard to pick out and we find ourselves going back for a sip just to try to figure out what they are. It’s an interesting one for sure.
