Krushing on Thora is the 2nd release in our “Krushing On” series of 6.3% modern West Coast IPAs. The premise behind these beers is to combine the sexiest hop to come out of the PNW in a long time, Krush, with another hop in a 50:50 ratio to see how the two play together. For this version we chose a brand new hop that was just named this past fall called Thora. Thora is a new public variety that a lot of large, well known, hop forward breweries are really excited about. The hop is still in it’s infancy so there’s not much acreage yet. We were fortunate to talk our way into one box and we thought this beer would be a good way to showcase it. We find it somewhat similar to Krush honestly in that there are some really terpy tropical notes however there’s a bit more resin and dankness to Thora as opposed to Krush. The base beer is nice and dry with a solid structured bitterness that makes it incredibly drinkable.
