Just Me is our single hop Pilsner series. The name comes from the interaction we all have (or should have) on the trail when you’re out riding/running/hiking solo and you run into another person, always heeding the right of way to whoever has it. This batch features more North American grown malt and hops than our last few versions. A single decoction of Pure Idaho Pilsner malt grown just a few hours away outside of Pocatello blended with a hint of Bamberg Pilsner gives the base beer a nice malt foundation to showcase Crystal Hops grown by our good friend Diane Gooding at Gooding Frams in Parma, ID. Crystal was first released in 1983 and is red from Hallertau Mittelfruh. It’s been a popular hop for many years but not necessarily in lagers. This Idaho grown Crystal really shines with some complex citrus notes up front with some underlying floral spiciness. It’s very refreshing and easy to drink and a great expression of this lovely hop.
