GUEST EXPERIENCE: Mixed Doubles

EXtra Pale Ale

Guest Experience returns.  Our annual collaboration brew highlighting the creative ways “guests” carry their skis.  Last year’s Decapitator edition was a New World Pils brewed with our buddy Brandon from New Image. This year’s edition is a collaboration with two of our favorite people in brewing, Randin King from Hollingbery & Son Hops and Diane Gooding of Gooding Farms in Parma, ID. Gooding Farms is a sixth generation hop farm run by Diane Gooding and her sisters. They’re one of only two female owned and operated hop farms left in the US. They also happen to grow some of the most amazing hops on the planet. For this Guest Experience we chose to brew an XPA (extra pale ale) that features a blend of Amarillo, Centennial, Crystal, and HRC-003. HRC003 is a new public variety that we’re really excited about and can’t wait to use more of in the future. The beer is a great blend of new school and old school flavors with notes of fruit stripe gum exploding from the can followed by a nice floral, resinous, and herbaceous quality that keeps the beer from becoming a total juice bomb. Crisp, clear, and bitter this XPA reminds us a lot of DAMP 24.03 that a lot of you really loved and also featured a ton of Gooding Farms grown Centennial.
