Glossy is our “house” 6.5% IPA built around the most popular hop on the planet, Citra,. We’re constantly tweaking this beer to try to find the combo that really brings out the best parts of Citra. For this batch canned on 5/19/26 other than just a touch of Waimea this one is all Citra. We also used a new yeast for this batch of Glossy. Instead of our house ale yeast we used a very Tropical fruit forward yeast from Berkeley Yeast called Tropics. It releases compounds from the malt and hops that create intense notes of passion fruit and grapefuit. This coupled with Citra’s incredible range of fruit flavors and aromas delivers probably the most intense version of this beer we’ve ever brewed.
