Laser Kiwi

New Zealand L IPA

Laser Kiwi is back and it’s a very special version brewed only with hops from our buds at Garston Hops in Southland, NZ. Garston hops is the southernmost hop farm in the world, almost 600 miles farther south than the traditional hop growing region in NZ. Their unique location has an amazing impact on the varieties they grow and really demonstrates the impact that terroir has on hops. We get more floral and bright citrus character and a little less dankness and diesel character commonly found in the hops grown further north. This beer features 24 Harvest Nelson Sauvin and Motueka on the hot side and then 25 Harvest NZ Cascade, Rakau, and Motueka in the Dry Hop. These 25 harvest hops were flown straight from NZ for this beer with Offset being the first brewery in the Northern Hemisphere to brew with them. We’re incredibly excited about the Garston Cascade. It’s arguably the rarest and most in demand hop right now and we were lucky to get one box of it. As compared to the last batch of Laser Kiwi you’ll notice a brighter fruit profile and a little less dank/grassy character.
