DAMP 24.02

FRESH HOP WC IPA

DAMP 24.02 proudly features a blend of freshly harvested wet Centennial from Gooding Farms and wet Chinook from Obendorf Hop at a rate of 20lb/bbl. We grabbed these wet AF cones super early in the AM outside of Boise and raced back to the brewery to throw them in the mashtun that we turn into a Hopback. After fermentation the beer then got a 2lb/bbl dry hop addition of freshly kilned Centennial, Chinook, & Citra that we picked up from these farms the same day we grabbed the wet hops. After an overnight soak on those the beer gets one more small dry hop of some Simcoe and Columbus Cryo pellets to add a bit more oomph. This beer is classic WC IPA through and through. Dry with a nice structured bitterness that doesn’t linger, and all those classic old school flavors and aromas you’d expect from these hops. We keep the malt bill really simple with just a blend of pils and 2row so the hops really shine. Pine, vibrant citrus, resin, and that delightful zesty fresh hop character really shine in this beer. We just canned it yesterday so I’d expect it to get even more aromatic and flavorful over the next few days. Try some now then come back to it in a few days to see how it’s evolved.
