FRESH HOP L IPA

Introducing DAMP. DAMP will be the series name of our Fresh Hop beers going forward. We hope to brew at least 4 Fresh Hop beers this year showcasing different varieties all grown by the amazing hop farms outside of Boise, ID. For each version we’re using freshly picked wet hops on the hotside of the brewing process and then freshly kilned hops in the dry hop. This allows us to make a fresh hop beer with 2024 Harvest hops all throughout the process. For this first batch we chose the first available varieties when harvest first started. Wet amarillo went into the mash tun after the boil for an extended soak in hot wort and then we dry hopped the beer with freshly kilned Organic Citra and freshly kilned Amarillo. Notes of bright citrus and stone fruit combined with that signature fresh hop character than is somehow similar to a watermelon when you get close to the rind. It’s a green note that’s not grassy or shrubby that adds brightness to the beer.
