SINGLE HOP DOUBLE IPA
Citra 4 Ways is an attempt to showcase every aspect of this amazing hop. We chose four different types of Citra hop products to include in this beer at a rate of close to 8lbs/bbl.
One lot of WA grown Citra was used three times in the boil for bittering and flavor. The whirlpool was loaded with OR grown Citra in Cryo form as well as Citra Incognito. After a cold fermentation with our favorite ale yeast we dry hopped this beer twice. The first time was at terminal with Citra Spectrum, then after cooling and removing yeast we added another charge of two different lots of Citra Pellets grown in two different states and even more Citra Cryo. All in all 3 different lots of Citra t-90 pellets, Cryo, Incognito, and Spectrum.8This is an onslaught of Citra character. Everything from grapefruit and orange creamsicle to lime, lychee, over ripe mango, and a skosh of dankness.
A malt bill of mostly Pilsner malt and a lengthy lagering time before canning really make this intensely hop saturated double IPA incredibly light in the palate and shockingly easy to drink.
