A beer with anchovies in it? No... Anchovy is the name of a new hop variety from Segal Hop Ranch that we’re excited to showcase in this single hop Pale Ale. Anchovy has been on our radar for a few years now but there was only a very small amount of it grown that was secured by one brewery. There was more available from the 2023 harvest so we were able to snag a small amount to play with. It’s definitely a very unique hop with tasting notes of watermelon, raspberry, and maybe even a little Amaro character. We purposely brewed this one to be a bit lighter than the NZH-105 with a smaller dry hop and a clearer overall beer to have a bit of difference between the two pale ales we have on tap.
