Feeling Single Seeing Triple is brewed in collaboration with New Image Brewing of Arvada, CO. A few weeks back Brandon from New Image joined us for a weekend of skiing, both uphill and down, and talking beer. We brew one Triple IPA a year and it was time to brew it so we decided to brew one together. We don’t brew many high ABV beers but Brandon on the other hand has brewed probably hundreds. He was super helpful in helping us craft a recipe and approach to such a high alcohol beer. We used an incredibly light malt base of just pilsner malt and rice, American Ale yeast, and a combo of our favorite new hops. HBC 586 and Strata were used on the hotside then we hit the dry hop with a staggering amount of Nectaron, Citra, and Strata. This is the most hops we’ve ever added to a beer at just over 8 lbs/bbl total. It’s a once a year treat and due to all the dry hopping we didn’t yield that many cans so it’ll be gone before you know it.
