Extra Special Dopo is a once a year treat. Brewed to celebrate the end of ski season and the transition to spring and time spent on the trails. We take the same base recipe for Dopo and double the dry hop amounts to a staggering 5lb/bbl. This is an unheard of amount for a 5% beer and is usually only reserved for beers over 7% ABV. Just like Dopo it symbolizes our commitment to hops and pushing the boundaries of hoppy beer at 5%. We love hops as you can probably tell but we also love Low ABV beer. This beer proves you don’t need to be drinking an 8% Double IPA to get great hop expression. We added an extra little something to this batch in the form of a brand new product from Freestyle Hops that combines dried passion fruit into hop pellets and then extracts all the crazy flavors and aroma into a concentrated liquid extract. This really amplifies the fruit forward aspect of this beer and we’re excited to test it out on future beers.
